A busy weekend of high and low art, and innovative ideas. 1st Catastrophic Cinema party in 5 years (switch to DVD and streaming tricky), many appearences by John Travolta and Al Pacino…
Went to the AIC with my brother Rob, who runs Seven Cycles, and talked about Mondrian, Soutine, Beckmann, De Chirico, De Kooning, and Kline (the first painter to break into my undeveloped visual
sensibilityat an MCA show of his B&W paintings back in the early 90s); then watched Eames Film and the documentary about Francis Bacon by David Hinton. I’ve learned more about organizational thinking from Rob than anybody I’ve met, and he’s ALWAYS innovating.
