Day 1 at CMS with Bob Weston mostly spent getting the sounds together- 7 instrumentalists recorded in concert during two nights at the Green Mill in Chicago by Jason Ward last July. There’s a ton of material here, it’s almost overwhelming. Working on a mix is like putting the music under a microscope, and by the ti…me I’m finished I’ve heard the pieces so many times I hardly ever return to the material when they’re released on album.
