Option In June: The Option series is proud to present four remarkable concerts and events during the month of June. All performances take place Monday nights at Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago at 7:30pm. Seating is limited so we encourage people to arrive when doors open at 7pm.

June 5: Andrea Jablonski and Cale Arthur.  Andrea Jablonski collaborates with Cale Arthur for the first time. In the second half of the program Jablonski will discuss her artwork, music, and community based activities with Ken Vandermark.  https://ess.org/esscalendar/2017/6/5/option-andrea-jablonski-and-cale-arthu…

June 15: Damon Locks solo.  Chicago-based visual artist, educator, vocalist/musician, and deejay Damon Locks performs his work “The Colors That You Bring.”  A short discussion with Tim Daisy follows.  https://ess.org/esscalendar/2017/6/12/option-damon-locks-solo

June 19: Lou Mallozzi solo.  Lou Mallozzi presents a rare solo set of improvisations with turntables, CDs, mixer, microphones, and text. The set will be intertwined with questions, arguments and discussion posed by theorist and artist Seth Kim-Cohen. The result may be an improvised performance that contains its own interrogation, or an interrogation that improvises its own performance.
