Start working on the Ethiopian scales (7 in all- Tizita, Batee, Anchihoye [in major and minor], and Ambasel; seemingly tied to the strings of the Krar). So much music to listen to, so many beautiful aesthetics; in addition to playing with Terrie, Andy, Ab, Arnold, and Paal, I’m hoping to have some time to play …with the musicians from Addis Ababa too, particularly Mesele Asmamaw.
