1/11:
Began the transcriptions of Don Cherry material, starting with “Brown Rice;” worked out bass lines for the electric bass. Hoping to combine the groove based material from that album with the flow of the
“Complete Communion” period, while using a larger band that Cherry typically led for his performances (drums, …electric/acoustic bass, piano/Rhodes, vibraphone, trombone, alto/tenor, clarinet/tenor;
working towards a small big band sound).
