1/20:
The band (w/Adasiewicz, Bishop, Karayorgis, McBride, Rempis, Taylor) performed 2 strong sets of Don Cherry compositions at the Hideout to a full house to a great reception. The intersection of Complete Communion and Brown Rice material worked extremely well, and the chance to really play through the music before… our main concert in Philadelphia gave me insight on improving the arrangements.

1/21:
The last two days have been busy with rehearsals of the Cherry arrangements during the day and concerts at night, plus packing for the upcoming European tours. On the 21st the group played 2 sets of small improvising units, with Jeff Parker joining the lineup; another night of good music, and very different from the Don Cherry work.
