Did a Q&A with film maker/author Dan Krauss for James Falzone’s class at Columbia College after “Musician” was screened. The audience included a number of other interested listeners and the discussion covered a range of topics, from the issue of surviving as an independent and non-commercial artist to what inspires us to continue to the state of the current Jazz/Improvised Music scene.
Dan’s next film, “Professor,” will be screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center in mid May, along with “Musician” and “Sheriff” (his first documentary). More info here
