Sliding back into the world of Chicago work- reviewing the material for upcoming series at the Velvet Lounge (Thursday: duo w/Tim Daisy, Friday: Frame Quartet, Saturday: Vandermark 5; all album release shows [“Light On The Wall,” “35mm,” and “Annular Gift,” respectively]).
Re-visited the Matisse and Eggleston exhibits at the AIC, still blown away. Added “The Gilded Gutter Life Of Francis Bacon,” by Daniel Farson to the list of books I’m trying to get through…
