Played a duo set with Austrian musician,
Elisabeth Harnik, at the Hideout. She’s a fantastic pianist, felt like I
was improvising with Conlon Nancarrow; though there were sections of
almost Feldman-like austere beauty. Elisabeth also played in a trio with
Kent Kessler and Michael Zerang, and I spun acoustic Blues
selections all night, finally ending with Fred McDowall’s “You Gotta
Move” on Arhoolie- as good as music gets. Will spend the next week
getting prepared for a solo show at Transitor in Chicago that takes
place on Friday, September 4th… Footage of a couple of the new V5
