Svetlost is most probably the first Macedonian jazz group to collaborate with gigantic names from the jazz scene in the world, the likes of Ken Vandermark and Paal Nilssen-Love, that we know well from their performances at Skopje Jazz Festival. Apart from the concert, in Skopje, right after, they are going to record an album. Svetlost are recognizable for the spontaneous artistic expression, multi-genre aesthetics, fearless approach towards the sound and the blend of jazz, noise and ambient elements. The three albums published in 2019 and 2020 got excellent feedback by the critics and the audience. After “Odron Ritual Orchestra”, “Jazz (to the working class)” и “Six Years”, the concert at Skopje Jazz Festival followed. This performance was crowned with their next album “A Wave Returns To The Ocean”. The start of 2024 brought the release of their latest release “Everything Was As It Had Been a Minute” and the band went on tour in nearby countries and worked on several releases with regional ensembles.
The project of Svetlost with Ken Vandermark and Paal Nilssen-Love was co-produced by Can Inandim.
