Ken Vandermark solo: France / Brest / Bad Seeds Recordshop

Ken Vandermark will be presenting a series of compositions called, October Flowers for Joe McPhee, for the first time in Europe.  Written specifically to celebrate McPhee’s work, the material was impacted by his seminal solo recording, Tenor.  This music, plus a series of completely improvised pieces, were recorded earlier this year and will be released on the Corbett vs. Dempsey label in the autumn.  [photo by Cristina Marx]
