3/10:
Morning rehearsal and then a trip to Milwaukee with Free Fall (Haavard Wiik, Ingebrigt Haker Flaten) to play at the Sugar Maple. We work up 4 new pieces for the show (“Molloy” by Haavard, “88,” “Sleep,” and “A Wiik Of Birthdays,” by me), which go pretty well; need to sort out some details to put them us online pharmacy into good shape.
The new material is composed with the idea of making our next album built around short pieces (Satie, Kurtag?). Good turnout on a Wednesday night, very receptive audience. 2nd set felt more organic, trio finding
its bearings after so much time apart (a year and a half?).
