3/12:
Free Fall plays at Elastic in Chicago on the 11th. I felt frustrated with the 1st set, lots of errors on the charts, music seemed to often unfocused. 2nd set seemed better, clearer. Band flies to Austin to play on the 12th- a much better experience. Even with mistakes the compositions felt like they were always moving in the right direction, with the right energy. The new pieces were well realized, adjustments to the the arrangements strengthened them. Once again, playing several gigs as opposed to a one-off show brings the music further and faster.
I look forward to our November tour, and the release of “Gray Scale” in the near future.
