The days of 9 hour rehearsals,
soundchecks, and concert in Bern pay off- Full Blast & Friends give a
strong, energized performance at a sold out concert at the
Donaueschingen Festival. The show starts with 2 sets by Peter Evans: 1st
a quintet wrestling with Jazz history from Be Bop forward, with
electronic proce; 2nd a duo with Nate Wooley, also with
electronics. In a way, the evening was a feature for the state of
contempory trumpet- Evans, Wooley, Heberer (add Axel Doerner, Magnus
Broo, and a few others and you’ve got a devastating music festival…).
Fantastic to hear the instrument played so well, so inventively.
Tremendous energy throughout from the audience and from the musicians,
