5/15:
Visited the Hermitage museum in St. Petersburg with Peter Brotzmann, incredible collection but spent my time with the Cezanne, Matisse, and Picasso exhibits- incredible. Sonore played at the SKIF Festival: dealt
with difficult acoustics and sound system, and the audience in front of the stage was focused enough on the music to overcome the other buy generic distractions in the room. The best set we’ve played in some time, good communication, simultaneous layers but clear ideas, music loose and flowing; a very nice night.
Zu also played, new material is really burning! Discussed the idea of a triple baritone project with Mats and Luca… watch out!
