5/19:
Brutal travel day- leave Schorndorf at 4:20am, slow train to Stuttgard, plane to Frankfurt, walk about a kilometer to gate for 2nd plane arrive in Porto before 10:30am… nice day off. Luckily no overweight charge on the baritone, and the instrument arrives safe and sound (one small step closer to getting it to Chicago.).
Interesting conversations during the free time, particularly about Steve Lacy’s direction and focus in the music even though, and perhaps because, the methods were so different.
